Finally, an update!
This year has flown by.
Where does the time go? who knows, who knows. You can't hold onto it, it never stops or slows, oh where does the time go?
Well, Teancum started Kindergarten and is LOVING it! Gideon has stepped into the "older brother" shoes with ease. I have found myself stopping periodically throughout the day listening to how quiet it is without Teancum at home. WOW, what a difference one member of our family can make when they aren't at home. Maylynn is sweet, tempramental, Mama's little helper and Daddy's little girl who loves being TWO!!! She's all girl and watch out, she can hold her own. Then there's EmmaLai who is crawling, eating everything and can't wait to walk. She is quiet and very fast on all fours! We love our little family of six and are enjoying the laughter that rings throughout our home. So, here's the latest pictures of us.

EmmaLai Joy Higley born 1/11/2009
EmmaLai Joy was welcomed into our family on January 11, 2009 at 11:31am (during primary) weighing 6 pounds 5 ounces. She came as a blessing in more than one way. EmmaLai was two weeks early and she got Mom out of talking in Sacrament meeting the day she was born, Primary sharing time and two other meetings that day.
Labor was extremely peaceful and she came with such grace it was hard to believe she was really here! Dave immediately said that she didn't look like a Megan or Moriah (names we had talked about) but that she looked like Emmalai(pronounced emma-lay). We debated back and forth on the name for the following two days until the birth certificate had to be signed in which her name was decided.
Teancum loves to hold his little sister, Maylynn enjoys kissing her and Gideon will sneak in to pry her eyes open and giggle. They have welcomed her with loving arms and has been a true joy to have in our family and home.
Dave is pleased to have another girl to hold and love. David has been the sweetest husband who planted a flower garden for Marcene and EmmaLai as a welcome home gift and has continued to surprise us with little gifts! We wouldn't be the family we are without him. We sure love our family of 6!
